Privacy Policy
What’s collected when you reach out or bring in a repair, and how the data on your devices is handled. Last updated August 2026.
Information you provide
When you call, email, or bring a device in for repair, you typically share your name and contact information (phone number and/or email address) so the shop can reach you about your repair. If you request data recovery or a media transfer, the shop also handles whatever files are on the device or tape as part of doing that work. No online forms, accounts, or checkout process currently exist on this website — all contact happens by phone, email, or in person.
Your device’s data
Repairing a computer, phone, or drive sometimes means the shop has access to personal files, photos, and accounts stored on it. That access is limited to what’s needed to diagnose and repair the device, or to complete a data recovery or transfer you’ve requested — personal files aren’t browsed, copied, or shared beyond that. Devices and any data recovered from them are returned to you; the shop doesn’t keep copies of your personal data once a repair is complete.
If a device is recycled rather than repaired, drives are wiped or physically destroyed as part of that process — see the electronics recycling page for details.
Website use
This site doesn’t use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. It does load type from Google Fonts, which involves your browser making a request to Google’s servers to fetch the fonts used on this page; that request can expose your IP address to Google in the same way any external resource on a webpage does, subject to Google’s own privacy policy. Standard web server logs (the kind any hosting provider keeps, recording things like page requests and browser type) may be kept for security and troubleshooting purposes.
How information is used
- To communicate with you about a repair, quote, or data recovery job.
- To perform the repair, recovery, or transfer service you’ve requested.
- To respond to a question or request sent by phone or email.
- For basic business recordkeeping, such as a log of repairs performed.
What isn’t done with your information
Your contact information and any data from your device are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Information is only shared with an outside party when it’s genuinely necessary to complete your repair — for example, ordering a part from a supplier — and only to the extent needed for that purpose.
Security & retention
Reasonable care is taken to protect your information and your devices while they’re at the shop, but no method of storage or handling is completely without risk. Basic contact and repair records are kept for as long as makes sense for ordinary business purposes, such as honoring a repair warranty or answering a follow-up question about past work.
Children’s privacy
This website and these services are intended for adults arranging a repair, and the site isn’t directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact the shop and it will be addressed.
Questions or changes
This policy may be updated from time to time as the shop’s services change; the version posted here is the current one. If you have a question about your information or a repair, or want something about your data clarified, get in touch directly — that’s the fastest way to get a straight answer.
